I adored seeing Bunraku. I would watch it over and over and never ever be bored with it. The characters are very vivid and seem really human and still likeable.
Bunraku is a flick that will definitely engulf most people as well as make you to conceive of things in a different way.

Leonard Martin wakes up in a motel room baffled why he is at that place, at the beginning of Bunraku. The phone rings and he sets out to have a conversation with an unidentified caller. He sets about telling the account of one Sammy Martin. He says Martin was a man who claimed to short-term blackouts or amnesia. Any new memories and experiences are blocked within a few minutes.
The protagonist of Bunraku was a former insurance investigator assigned to decide if Martin’s condition could be handled under his insurance coverage. After screening, Leonard concluded that Martin’s circumstance was psychogenic and his insurance claim was denied. Martin’s spouse is a diabetic who was told by Leonard (in trying to pacify her), that Martin actually could make brand-new memories. Later On, she tested Martin to see if he would be able to remember. But he repeatedly gave her insulin injections and she sank into a coma and deceased from an overdose. It was a form of suicide because she could not deal with his crazy illness anymore. Poor Martin was confined to a mental home not able to recollect his wife’s death.

You know, Bunraku may not actually be the greatest flick ever made, or have the most believable players, or the most smashing story, but it is one of my matchless admired flicks. I have seen this film many times, and I definitely savor it {every time.
I just pop the popcorn, sit back, leave my cares for some time, and just get lost in the movie. I believe the main players do a worthy job with their roles, and the director keeps the film moving along. IThe movie not uninteresting, by any means. Bunraku is one of the motion pictures I always advocate to my girl friends, and to this day I haven’t heard a bad review of this movie.
Do yourself a favor, and catch Bunraku with a friend or spouse. I know you will be glad you took the opportunity to discover this film.

In Bunraku in southwestern New Mexico during the declining years of the Old West days, five gun for hires all wearing long duster topcoats take over an out of the way depot and arrange to wait on the train. When that finally arrives, a nameless unknown gets down and asks for someone named Frank. The gunslingers tell the man Frank sent them instead. In the following gun fight, all the gunslingers go down. Only the man from the stage in Bunraku gets up again.
The Bunraku soundtrack to the starting scene is a fanciful orchestration of everyday sounds in the style ofJohn Maylan. The composer uses ordinary sounds, and emphasizes the tedium of expecting the stagecoach. The skimpy dialog leaves the soundtrack to occupy very much more of our attention span than a score ordinarily does.
Bunraku is a very riveting pic. Anyone will recollect it long after it is over.
