Until he was downsized, affable, amiable Larry Crowne (Hanks) was a superstar team leader at the big-box company where he’s worked since his time in the Navy. Leonard Martin wakes up in a motel room mystified why he is there, at the beginning of Larry Crowne. The phone rings and he sets out to talk to an unidentified caller. He sets out telling the chronicle of one Sammy Martin. He says Martin was a gentleman who claimed to be suffering from short-term amnesia or amnesia. Any new memories and experiences are forgotten within a few minutes.
The protagonist of Larry Crowne was a former insurance investigator assigned to ascertain if Martin’s condition could be handled under his insurance. After testing, Leonard concluded that Martin’s circumstance was psychogenic and his claim was denied. Martin’s wife is a diabetic who was assured by Leonard (in trying to mollify her), that Martin actually could make new memories. Afterward, she tested Martin to see if he might be able to remember. But he over and over gave her insulin shots and she slipped into a comatose state and died from the overdose. It was a form of suicide because she didn’t want to cope with his psychological condition anymore. Poor Martin was locked in a mental hospital not able to recall his wife’s death.

Frankly, Larry Crowne isn’t known as the most compelling flick ever produced, or have the dandiest actors, or the most smashing story, but has always been one of my unrivalled treasured pic. I have seen this picture numerous times, and I greatly love it {every time.
I just get my popcorn, sit down, forget my fears for a couple hours, and just get involved in the movie. I reckon the main actors do a noteworthy job with their parts, and the director keeps the film moving along. It is never tedious, at all. Larry Crowne is one of the movies I invariably commend to my buddies, and to this day nobody has given me a bad review of this film.
Do yourself a favor, and watch Larry Crowne with a girlfriend or spouse. You will be glad you took the opportunity to watch this picture.
