The life of a businessman begins to change after he inherits six penguins, and as he transforms his apartment into a winter wonderland, his professional side starts to unravel.
This is one of Jim Carrey’s better films. Gone are the zany antics, off-the-wall humour and other annoying gestures. What you get is a wholesome family entertainment, coupled with a bunch of adorable penguins.
When a busy father neglects his family for the sake of his career, it takes a gift from his own father to realise just what a terrible mistake he is making. That gift comes in the a brood of penguins who, for some reason, takes a liking to silent movies 
Finally, the father understands what family is all about.
An excellent time for everyone. The children will be delighted, I guarantee.
Rick Martin wakes up in a hotel room puzzled why he is in that location, at the beginning of Mr. Popper’s Penguins. The phone rings and he starts out to talk to an unidentified caller. He commences telling the account of one Sammy Martin. He says Martin was a man who claimed to be suffering from short-term amnesia or amnesia. Any recent memories and experiences are forgotten within a few minutes.
The protagonist of Mr. Popper’s Penguins was a former private detective assigned to learn if Martin’s condition can be compensated under his insurance. After examination, Leonard reasoned that Martin’s circumstance was psychological and his claim was denied. Martin’s wife is a diabetic who was told by Leonard (in trying to assuage her), that Martin indeed could make fresh memories. Later On, she tested Martin to see if he might be able to remember. But he over and over gave her insulin shots and she sank into a coma and died from overdose. It was a form of self-destruction because she could not cope with his psychological condition anymore. Poor Martin was confined in a mental home not able to remember his wife’s death.
Mr. Popper’s Penguins is one of those movies to remember, for sure. Don’t overlook it.

The first few minutes of Mr. Popper’s Penguins some people will think more than a little slow. After the first few minutes the flick sets about to get interesting and I began to get more occupied. I would advise that you beready to recall it does actually get a lot improved.
